Conferences, on-track and paddock activities, music
Imola, May 27 – The Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Racetrack will host the fourth edition of “Imola Green” from May 30 to June 1. The event is promoted by Formula Imola and the Municipality of Imola, with the support of main sponsor Plenitude and BPER Banca. An event that continues to be a key reference point in Italy for the promotion of electric mobility and environmental sustainability, offering a rich program of educational, experiential, and cultural initiatives.
A three-day event filled with activities, both on the track and in the paddock, as well as in the Press Room/Media Centre, which will host meetings and conferences on climate-resilient cities, with a focus on the role of nature, mobility, and shared energy. In this regard, the appointment is set for the morning of Saturday, May 31, in the Press Room/Media Centre, starting at 9:15 AM with institutional greetings. In addition, a large exhibition area presented by Plenitude will showcase electric mobility through entertainment activities for adults, teenagers, and children.
Admission to all “Imola Green” activities is free of charge.
PROGRAM
The “Imola Green” event kicks off on Friday, May 30, from 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM in the paddock with the Street Food Festival. The opening will feature a performance by “Il Pagante,” the duo consisting of Roberta Branchini and Edoardo Cremona. Also performing on stage will be DJs Lil.Zuttt and Rosso, in an evening dedicated to Electronic-House-Pop music.
On Saturday, May 31, the heart of the green-themed event takes place, both on the track, in the paddock, and in the Press Room. On the track, test drives will take place from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM (bookable only through car dealerships or at the Plenitude dedicated booth). These will be followed by two cycling races, the first at 5:30 PM and the second at 7:00 PM, organized by Ciclistica Omnia Imola. In the paddock, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, activities are mainly aimed at children and teenagers. Qualified instructors will be present to introduce junior riders (ages 6-17) to riding electric motorcycles and electric karts. Not to be missed is the off-road area, set up behind the Main Grandstand, where it will be possible to try out electric off-road motorcycles.
In the Press Room, from 9:15 AM to 12:30 PM, the conference “Energie in Comune: Shared Energy, Mobility, and Nature for Climate-Resilient Cities” will take place, offering professional development credits for Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, and Agronomists, and serving as an opportunity for the entire community to deepen their understanding.
Then, from 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM, the Street Food Festival kicks off along with the “I Want to Go Back to the 90s” format. Also performing on stage during the evening will be DJ Gemi.
Sunday, June 1, marks the grand finale, with on-track activities continuing from 7:30 AM with a time trial cycling race, followed by Imola Bike Day starting at 9:30 AM — a ride organized by Ciclistica Santerno in collaboration with the Metropolitan City of Bologna as part of the “Cycling Sundays” initiative — and the track will remain open to cyclists until 4:00 PM. From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it will be possible to walk along the track.
In the paddock, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, activities will again be mainly aimed at children and teenagers, just like on Saturday. Qualified instructors will be present to introduce junior riders (ages 6-17) to riding electric motorcycles and electric karts. The off-road area, set up behind the Main Grandstand, will also continue, offering the opportunity to try electric off-road motorcycles. The Street Food Festival and musical entertainment will continue from 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM, featuring “Music is the Answer” with DJs Eddo, Lefty, Andrea Terranova, and Simon Vicent.
For the Municipal Administration, Imola Green is an event that best represents the vision of our city: because it combines sustainability, innovation, and community involvement. For three days, the racetrack transforms into a vibrant space welcoming young people, families, enthusiasts, and industry experts alike, with a diverse and engaging program. From thematic panels featuring institutional guests, companies, and exemplary organizations, to interactive installations, electric mobility test drives, musical performances, and street food — every activity is designed to inform, inspire, and provoke reflection on the future we want to build. We thank Plenitude for their support, along with Formula Imola and all the partners who believe in this event. Imola Green is an open-air laboratory that places people’s well-being and the ecological transition at its center, with a concrete and positive outlook on the future.
In fact, Imola Green is an immersive opportunity to experience and explore sustainability through a systemic approach that combines sustainable mobility, nature, and the production and sharing of energy from renewable sources, with experiences suitable for all ages, from children to adults. Within the festival, as every year, a detailed conference has been organized, recognized by various professional bodies with continuing education credits. This event will allow us to learn about best practices developed across the country and build awareness of the importance of an integrated approach to creating climate-resilient cities—covering topics from energy communities and innovative renewable energy production systems to the role of nature in people’s health and well-being.
The conference will be opened by Alessandra Bonfanti, a manager at Legambiente’s national directorate, whom I thank, along with all the speakers, for their availability. Sustainable mobility takes center stage with activities for everyone both inside the track, which will be open to the public, and outside with the Imola Bike Day ride. Organized in collaboration with the Metropolitan City and Ciclistica Santerno, the ride will take us on a journey to discover the Santerno valley.
Imola Green is one of the stops in the Imola Loves Bike program, winner of the Bici in Comune grant, which will accompany us throughout 2025 and 2026.
Pietro Benvenuti (Director of Autodromo Imola): “Imola Green represents much more to us than just an event: it is the concrete expression of the vision we have chosen to pursue as a racetrack — one that looks to the future by combining a passion for motorsports with respect for the environment and sustainable innovation. From the very beginning, we believed that an iconic venue like ours could be a laboratory for change and a virtuous model for the community.
In recent years, we have worked hard to ensure that sustainability is not just a slogan, but a real and verifiable practice. The ISO 20121 and ISO 14001 certifications, together with the FIA three-star recognition, testify to our concrete commitment to responsible management and environmental impact.
Imola Green is an event open to everyone, blending moments of leisure, entertainment, and reflection, and it grows year after year thanks to the synergy between institutions, companies, associations, and citizens.
We want everyone who participates in Imola Green to go home with a new perspective: more informed, more inspired, more aware. Because the ecological transition concerns each of us and can only become a reality if shared.”
Paolo Martini (Head of E-Mobility Recharge Solutions Plenitude): “Once again this year, we are pleased to support Imola Green, an important event for the region and an opportunity to communicate and raise awareness about the world of electric mobility to a diverse audience — from adults to children, from electric enthusiasts to those who are still unfamiliar with it.
Imola, as a temple of the automotive world, is the ideal setting to discover how the transition to e-mobility can fit perfectly within both an urban and sporting context.
For us, the Emilia-Romagna Region represents a key territory, which today more than ever should be considered a significant piece of Plenitude’s strategy.”
