SMALL PATIENTS VIRTUALLY IN THE PADDOCK THANKS TO AWABOT MONITORS
Imola, 14 May 2025. Trenitalia (FS Group), Official Partner of the Imola GP, Trenitalia Tper and the local institutions will boost their train services, with a series of extraordinary trains, on the occasion of the Formula 1 AWS Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna 2025, which will be held at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola from 16 to 18 May. A partnership that fits into a successful context: last year, no less than 27,000 fans and enthusiasts chose the train to reach the F1 GP.
EXTRA TRAINS: ALL TIMETABLES
On the occasion of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, in addition to regional trains, it will be possible to reach Imola with the extraordinary Frecciarossa, Intercity and Eurocity trains scheduled for the event.
- From 16 to 18 May, 2 Frecciarossa trains will depart from Milan, at 7.05 am, and from Ancona at 7.10 pm.
- From 16 to 19 May, 9 Intercity trains will connect Northern and Southern Italy, stopping in Imola: they will leave from Milan at 7.05, 9.10 (from Milan Porta Garibaldi), 9.55 (Saturday 17 May only), 15.05; from Lecce at 8.42, 9.35 (Sunday 18 May only); from Bari at 5.55 and from Pescara at 7.02.
- Dal 15 al 18 maggio, saranno disponibili anche 2 Eurocity: uno da Zurigo, con partenza alle 6.33 e uno da Imola, alle 13.12, con destinazione Zurigo.
- On Sunday 18 May, 5 extraordinary regional trains will depart from Bologna Centrale with destination Imola at the following times: 7.50, 8.50, 9.50, 11.00 and 11.50. At the end of the GP, it will be possible to reach Bologna Centrale from Imola with no less than 30 journeys, 14 of which extraordinary. 19.00, 19.08 (Wed), 19.20 (Wed), 19.34, 19.37 (Wed), 20.00, 20.08, 20.17, 20.22 (Wed), 20.34, 20.43 (Wed), 21.00, 21.05 (Wed), 21.17 (Wed), 21.34, 21.40 (Wed), 21.49 (Wed), 22.00. 08, 22.20 (st), 22.40, 23.00. The offer in the direction of Rimini has also been increased, with two extraordinary trains departing from Imola at 18.40 and 21.15. On Saturday morning, there will be three extraordinary runs from Bologna to Imola, departing at 9.42, 10.42 and 11.42.
AWABOT: YOUNG PATIENTS INTERACT WITH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STARS
The Formula 1 AWS Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna makes inclusion a source of pride. Thanks to the Awabot programme, for example, the young patients of the Montecatone Rehabilitation Hospital, the Paediatric Oncohaematology Department of the S. Orsola General Hospital and the Paediatric Orthopaedics and Osteo-oncology Departments of the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute will be able to experience the atmosphere of the paddock at a distance, through monitors connected directly from the Autodrome, which will allow them to dialogue with drivers, team principals and other protagonists of the championship. On Thursday afternoon, the youngsters will be able to meet, from a distance, Charles Leclerc (14.15-14.30) and Lewis Hamilton (14.35-14.50); the Aramco Aston Martin team (15.20-15.30), Kimi Antonelli (15.35- 15.45), the Oracle Red Bull team (15.45-16) and George Russell (16-16.15). On Friday morning the drivers of Stake Kick Sauber (11.05), Atlassian Williams (11.10), McLaren (11.45), Visa Chash App Racing Bulls (11.50) and Stefano Domenicali (12). On Saturday, also in the morning, it will be the turn of MoneyGram Haas (10.40 am) and BWT Alpine (10.50 am).
TORTELLANTE AND SPECIABILI: AUTISTIC TEENAGERS WILL RUN FOOD STANDS AND ICE CREAM IN THE PADDOCK
Also in the area of inclusion, the Il Tortellante project should be mentioned, thanks to which some autistic teenagers will run a food stand in the paddock garden. Also in the paddock, finally, the boys of the Speciabili group from Imola will be involved in the distribution of ice cream.
MCLAREN AND PIASTRI AWARDED
Tomorrow, Thursday, 15 May 2025, at 1.40 p.m., as part of the Bandini Trophy awards (awarded yesterday to Oscar Piastri), the Italian engineers of McLaren, constructors’ world champion, and CEO Zak Brown will be honoured for their contribution to the world of motorsport. The award will be collected by Giuseppe Pesce (Director, Aerodynamics & Chief of Staff), while Andrea Stella will receive the City of Imola Award on behalf of Zak Brown. Finally, Vicky Piria, Sky pilot and presenter, will be presented with the City of Brisighella Award.
