The Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari is set to host, for the seventh time since 2013, one of the most prestigious endurance series: the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), returning to the track for the third round of the championship with the 4 Hours of Imola. A total of 130 drivers will battle it out across the LMP2, LMP3 and LMGT3 categories, with ten Italian drivers aiming for a spot on the podium.
The schedule includes free practice on Friday, qualifying sessions on Saturday, and the race — starting at 12:00 — on Sunday. Also hitting the track over the weekend are the Mitjet Italia, Clio Cup Series, and FX Pro Series categories. Don’t miss the excitement of the ELMS – 4 Hours of Imola: tickets are available on Ticketone.it and at the on-site ticket office (Checco Costa Museum) from Friday to Sunday. On Friday, paddock entry is free and, starting at 18:15, there will be open pit lane access to watch the Pit Stop Challenge.
As a preview to the race weekend, on Wednesday 2 July, during the “Mercoledì in centro” evening event organized by Ascom in collaboration with the Municipality of Imola, four ELMS cars will be on display in Piazza Matteotti: the LMP2 Orecas from Iron Lynx and Inter Europol Competition (winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans), the LMP3 Ginetta by DKR Engineering, and the LMGT3 Ferrari from Richard Mille AF Corse.
Starting at 8:00 PM, the crews of these cars will also take part in two entertaining challenges: the “Making of Tortellini” and the amusing Food Blind Test, both hosted by chef Max Mascia and accompanied by interviews conducted by speaker Boris Casadio. There will also be giveaways for the public and a lively atmosphere to get fans excited for the race weekend ahead.
