ITALY PROTAGONIST: GIOVINAZZI (FERRARI) AND ROSSI IN POLE

Imola, 19 April 2025 – A huge number of fans packed the paddock and pit lane of the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo and Dino Ferrari on this second day of the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Imola. The day was enriched by the pole position taken by Antonio Giovinazzi, Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado in the number 51 Ferrari AF Corse car, in 1’28″920, followed seven tenths down by Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye, Philip Hanson in the number 83 AF Corse car. Out at the Hyperpole, on the other hand, was the 50 Ferrari AF Corse car of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, Nicklas Nielsen. The performance of Valentino Rossi of the WRT Team, who took pole position in front of his home crowd in the LMGT3 category with a time of 1’42″355, is worthy of note.

The FIA WEC 6 Hours of Imola will start tomorrow at 1.00 pm, with the chequered flag scheduled for 7.00 pm. It promises to be a gripping competition full of twists and turns, six hours of pure adrenaline to be experienced with bated breath.

36 cars on the track, equally divided between the Hypercar and LMGT3 categories. In the Hypercar class will compete teams of absolute prominence such as Aston Martin Thor Team, BMW M Team WRT, Cadillac Hertz Team Jota, Porsche Penske Motorsport, Toyota Gazoo Racing, and, of course, Ferrari AF Corse. The LMGT3 category will feature cars from prestigious marques such as Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford Mustang, McLaren, Mercedes and Porsche.

The first race of the X-GT4 Supersport GT championship was also held, won by Matteo and Giacomo Pollini of ASD Giacomo Race, who led the race from start to finish. In Race 1 of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland success of Robert De Haan of the Proton Huber Competition team.

Don’t miss the Fan Zone, where there is an area with attractions for all ages: family entertainment, a Ferris wheel, interactive stands, live music and a rich gastronomic offer. Unique experiences include driving simulators and Dinner in the Sky’, the 50-metre-high restaurant, along with activities for children such as creative and educational themed workshops.

The last tickets are still available to experience the excitement of the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Imola up close. Admission can be purchased on the TicketOne website or directly on site, in Via Pirandello (at the junction with the Viale Dante bridge). For families, the Terre & Motori Family promotion is active: up to two adult ‘General Admission’ tickets at €35 each and up to two free entries for children up to 13 years of age for each ticket purchased.
