600 CARS EXPECTED AT THE 9TH EDITION OF THE HISTORIC MINARDI DAY, SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 13-14. TICKETS AVAILABLE IN PRESALE ON TICKETONE

A total of 600 cars are expected on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit in Imola for the 9th edition of the Historic Minardi Day.

The event, born from the passion of the Minardi family in collaboration with Formula Imola, is ready to offer thousands of fans a weekend dedicated to motorsport. Thanks to tickets (daily – season pass – VIP, the latter reserved for ages 16 and over with access to the Pit Lane and Paddock 2 parking) already available on TicketOne (https://www.ticketone.it/artist/historic-minardi-day/), fans will be able to access the most exclusive areas of the venue and celebrate, among other things, the 40th anniversary of the Minardi Team’s debut in the Formula 1 World Championship – which took place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 1985, during the Brazilian Grand Prix at the Jacarepagua circuit. The celebrations will feature exclusive merchandise available at the circuit and a special exhibition, ‘40 Years of Formula 1 in Faenza’, set up inside the Checco Costa Museum.

A unique exhibition retracing the extraordinary history of the Faenza team through seven Formula 1 single-seaters, symbols of four decades of competition, technical evolution, and independent spirit. On display are four Minardi single-seaters and three Racing Bulls cars, creating a fascinating journey that showcases how the soul of the team, founded in 1979 by Gian Carlo Minardi, has left a profound mark on the history of Formula 1.

Adding excitement and rekindling unforgettable memories will be an incredible lineup of historic Formula 1 cars, ranging from the 1970 March 701 to the 2005 Minardi PS04/B, including the 1974 Lotus 72E/5, the 1976 and 1977 Tyrrell P34, the 1976 March Beta 761, the 1977 Wolf WR1, the 1978 Arrows A/1, the 1979 Merzario F1A3, the 1980 Shadow DN12, the 1982 Lotus Type 91, the 1984 Ferrari 126 C4, the 1986 Osella Alfa Romeo FA1G, the 1989 Minardi M189, the 1990 Monteverdi, the 1991 Fondmetal GR03, the 1994 Ferrari 412 T1, two Williams FW33 from 2011, as well as a meticulously detailed replica of the McLaren MP4-15 created by its owner and enriched this year with Mika Häkkinen’s autograph. Coming directly from Balcarce, Argentina, hometown of five-time Formula 1 World Champion Juan Manuel Fangio, is the McLaren built by the Crespi company for the ‘SENNA’ series. It will be driven on track by Luciano Crespi, wearing Ayrton’s original suit and helmet, thanks to the private collection of Salvatore Apicella, owner and curator of the ‘Museum of Legends’ in Pavia.

Equally impressive is the lineup of Formula 2 cars, including the 1965 Brabham BT16, the 1974 March BMW 742, the 1977 March 772, the 1979 Chevron B48 once driven by Siegfried Stohr, and the 1983 Minardi M283B, which starred in the 1983 European F2 Championship with Pierluigi Martini and Alessandro Nannini. The exhibition continues with Formula 3 machines – Dallara, Martini, Bellasi, Tatuus, Reynard, Chevron, Mygale, Ralt – and Formula 3000 cars such as the Reynard Judd 91D, Ralt RT20B, Reynard 89D, and the Lola F3000 once raced by Helmut Marko. Fans will also enjoy the Formula Dallara Nissan 3000 World Series, A1GP, GP2, and Prototypes including the Lola T70 MK3B, Ginetta LMP2, Lucchini, Radical, Chevron, ATS, and ARL SPIRE GTR. GT, GTS and Historic GT cars will also feature, thanks to the important and decisive contribution of Scuderia Nuvolari Italia, showcasing an Alfa Giulia GTA, Porsche, De Tomaso Pantera, Jaguar E-Type, Alfa Romeo TZ Le Mans Classic, McLaren M1C Can-Am, Lancia Delta Integrale 1989, and Mercedes 190E 2.5 16 Evo DTM, alongside modern supercars such as the Ferrari 296, McLaren, Lotus, Porsche, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo — offering an extraordinary array to satisfy every motorsport enthusiast. The Gino Macaluso Foundation will take center stage with two extraordinary LANCIA models in the iconic Martini Racing liveries: the 1982 LC1 and the 1983 LC2. The Alfa Romeo brand, in particular, will be represented by the Alfa Romeo Portello Racing Team with nine historic competition jewels from its Dynamic Alfa Romeo Museum, and by the Italian Alfa Romeo Register (R.I.A.R) with an additional five models. On track, visitors will also see extraordinary supercars and hypercars crafted by renowned manufacturers: Horacio Pagani’s Zonda F, Huayra Codalunga, Utopia, and Huayra Roadster BC; Lamborghini’s Revuelto, Huracan STO, and Urus SE; Dallara’s Stradale and EXP; Pambuffetti PJ01; and the Mazda MX-5. These are just some of the cars taking center stage at the 2025 Historic Minardi Day.

The event’s packed program is further enriched by the ACI Storico Festival. On Saturday the 13th, the Circuito Stradale del Mugello will take place: a historic reenactment of one of the most iconic races, featuring vintage cars and road-going Gran Turismo models produced up to 2000. Starting from Florence and heading to Mugello, covering a distance of 316 km, the route will pass through the Imola circuit. On Sunday the 14th, the Raduno Terre di Romagna, organized by AC Ravenna, will feature 130 teams departing from the circuit at 10:00 AM, heading to Faenza to visit the Racing Bulls F1 Team, before returning to the track for the parade and closing of the event.

In addition to the on-track activities, there will be events in the Conference/Media Centre and Briefing Room, including award ceremonies, numerous book presentations by some of the most authoritative names in motorsport, and exhibitions by Alessandro Rasponi and Gianni Cancellieri.

On Saturday the 13th, during the on-track group photo with all participants (around 1:00 PM), the ‘Memorial Nando’ Award will be presented. On Sunday the 14th, from 12:00 to 12:45, Gian Carlo Minardi will meet the press in the Conference Room for an open discussion. It will be an opportunity to review the event, share thoughts on the current state of motorsport, and discuss future prospects and projects.

Plenty of entertainment awaits in the Paddock area, including professional simulators, model cars, an automotive village, bookstores, a LEGO® exhibition, sportswear, and the new kids’ area (Paddock 2), where the little ones can have fun, play, and enjoy two inflatable structures.
