The 56th edition of the Giro dei Tre Monti, the historic running event organized by Atletica Imola Sacmi Avis, concluded with great participation, with both start and finish at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit. A total of 3,800 participants took part in the various events over the weekend, once again confirming the appeal and tradition of this classic event in Italian road running.
Great excitement on Saturday for the Gran Premio Terre di Romagna, dedicated to the youngest participants. Almost 400 children and young people, born between 2007 and 2023, competed on age-specific courses, bringing the Autodrome to life and turning the event into a true celebration of sport and community.
On Sunday morning, it was the adults’ turn, with 565 competitive athletes taking on the traditional 15.5 km course through the Imola hills, and 2,840 walkers participating in the non-competitive versions: the classic Tre Monti route and the 5 km walk within the Autodrome.
Turning to the sporting results, among the men the victory went to Luis Matteo Ricciardi, achieving his third consecutive win, finishing with a time of 49’40”. Second place went to M’Barek Ourras, just 12 seconds behind, while in third position, 34 seconds off the winner, was Mohammed Traibi. Among the women, Giulia Cordazzo dominated, completing the 15.3 km in 54’31”, which also earned her 12th place overall. Over six minutes later, Demetra Tarozzi finished in second place and Federica Cicognani in third.
