OVER 900 PARTICIPANTS AT THE 29TH EDITION OF THE GP FABBI IMOLA, ORGANIZED BY CICLISTICA SANTERNO

The 29th Gran Premio Fabbi Imola, organized by Ciclistica Santerno Fabbi Imola, came to a close at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Circuit. Over 900 athletes took part, confirming the event as one of the most popular youth competitions on the national calendar.

Saturday featured around 400 riders: in the morning the Giovanissimi (ages 5–12), who, due to rain, were unable to race but instead brought the Imola Circuit to life with alternative activities and an emotional lap of the circuit together with the para-athletes of Obiettivo 3; in the afternoon, 137 Juniors competed over 18 laps (83.5 km) in the Trofeo Ciclistica Omnia – 5th Memorial Michael Antonelli, won by Jacopo Vendramin (Industria Forniture Moro-C&G Capital) ahead of Andrea Meloni (Team Vangi Il Pirata) and Luca Casarin (Postumia 73).

Alongside the competitions, the day also hosted the Paracycling Campus Day by Obiettivo 3, an initiative dedicated to promoting para sport and inclusion.

On Sunday it was the turn of the Esordienti 1st year (6 laps – 29.5 km), 2nd year (8 laps – 39.5 km) and Allievi (13 laps – 63.8 km). Among the first-year newcomers, the victory went to Matteo Verdini (UC Piano Di Mommio – Speedy Bike), with Samuele Colombo (S.C. Brugherio Sportiva ASD) in second and Alessandro Bellettini (Pedale Azzurro Rinascita) in third. A solo victory in the second-year newcomers race went to Alessandro Pazzaglini (GS Pianello). Following him were David Alexandru Munteanu (Pedale Azzurro Rinascita) and Daniele Brocchi (Pol. Albergo-Oliveto).

The event concluded with the Allievi race. Edoardo Fiorini (Petrucci Zero24 Cycling Team) took the sprint victory ahead of Edoardo Agnini (G.S. Iperfinish ASD) and Giorgio Bramini Goretti (G.S. Gubbio Ciclismo Mocaina), who finished in that order.
